Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Clinical Therapist

I am a licensed clinical social worker and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) who believes in empowering individuals to reach their life goals. I have a degree from the University of Michigan-Flint and Michigan State University. I have 5 years of clinical experience in mood disorders, addiction, childhood trauma, crisis intervention, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), adult developmental population and seniors, teen behavior modification services, and have worked with schizophrenia and personality disorders.

I began my journey interning at The Disability Network, Michigan Community Services Adult Day Programs and Senior Day Programs, and the Alzheimer’s Association all located in Flint and Genesee County. I have traveled to individual’s homes assessing basic necessities such as shelter, heat, clothing, food, and ensuring safety needs were met. I conducted assessments for seniors assisting them with Meals on Wheels services. I was a friendly visitor to Heartland Hospice before my sister became sick and needed their services.

All individuals have worth and value and need healthy relationships to thrive and foster. I provide encouragement, support, and teach skills to combat life’s struggles with courage, self-respect, and dignity. I use motivational interviewing skills for growth and positive change, cognitive behavior therapy, and dialectical behavior skills training for daily life.  I am knowledgeable about addiction treatment and relapse prevention.
